Sports Report
Week 7, Term 2
It has been a busy first half of the term for Sport with so many exciting activities happening each week!
Last week saw our Cross Country Team compete at the ACC Carnival, coming in 7th overall with many outstanding individual performances on the day. For a summary and photos please click here.
We congratulate the Senior Boys Soccer and Senior Girls Netball Teams as they join the Year 8 Netball Team in progressing to the knockout stages of their respective ACC Championship Competitions, after successful day carnivals in Week 4.
Our Junior Boys Basketball team are to be commended on their hard work through another outstanding season, going through undefeated until the ACC Champions Schools Grand Final. After winning the competition in 2020, the boys left nothing behind in their defence of the title in 2021, unfortunately going down by 21 points in a competitive, tactical and highly skilled game against a very strong team.
With the Senior Boys and Senior Girls teams both making it through to the Quarter Finals in 2021, Corpus basketball is in a strong position to continue to compete for titles in the coming years.
The AFL teams are well underway with both the junior and senior boys undefeated so far. It is great to see the enthusiasm amongst all players this season.
The SAJS Winter Competition has been running this term and has seen our Middle School students representing the College in Netball, Basketball and Soccer, and our Year 10 Boys representing in Indoor Beach Volleyball on Wednesday afternoons.
The weekly club offerings of badminton, fitness, climbing, running, swimming, volleyball and water polo are proving very popular, with impressive numbers at the sessions.
Lastly, we wish our Hockey players all the best as they work towards the ACC Hockey challenge in Week 8 and all of our individual teams as they work towards the tail end of the season!
