Animal Farm
As a college we take great pride in the Arts. It is always great to see students perform in any discipline, but in the discipline of acting it is rare that so many students achieve such great results. I am exceptionally impressed with efforts of the cast and crew of Animal Farm. George Orwell never wrote a comedy and this adaptation was hearty, heavy, extremely dark and yes...political. Yet, with all of the efforts of the production team, actors and crew, we managed to put together a vision that was energising and entertaining. This urgent play was an investigation into controlling mechanism of society and politics; a study on power and human dignity and how in some regimes this may be lacking. It asked the question, 'are we man or farm?'
Congratulations to all cast, crew and the Arts team. A real success!
