Erin Hogg -Wendy
Erin Hogg, a year 10 student at Corpus Christi College, showcased her acting talents in the 2022 College production of Grease. However, her role as Wendy in Peter Pan will showcase her abilities in a different light. Wendy is a well-developed character and is considered one of the main protagonists in the story.
Like Peter Pan, she cherishes her childhood memories and often indulges in storytelling and fantasies. She is determined to avoid growing up and is granted the opportunity to do so when Peter whisks her away to Neverland.
Erin expresses that the production of Peter Pan is creatively imagined, captivating and sure to entertain audiences. Her participation in the production also has had a positive impact on her personal growth.
Erin credits the experience for broadening her confidence in both public speaking and acting, showcasing her dedication to her craft.

Conor Hussey -John
Conor Hussey, a Year 11 student at Corpus Christi College, is making his debut in the acting arena with his role as John in a modern take on the classic tale.
His character, John, is a funny and sophisticated young boy who often mimics his father, George’s, sophisticated way of speaking. John is also interested in piracy, which explains why he enjoys playing Captain Hook in his nursery games with his younger brother, Michael.
Apart from being playful and adventurous, John is brave and clever, as seen when he leads Michael and the Lost Boys in their games. He is mature for his age, yet still loves to have fun.
Conor sees the show as whimsical and is excited to refine his character’s voice. The production filters the original story, making it more exciting than the traditional tale.
Conor’s portrayal of John is set to be a memorable one, as he embodies the character’s quirky personality and adventurous spirit. It is evident that he relates well to John’s humorous side, making his performance all the more entertaining.
As a new actor, Conor has shown great potential, and his debut performance in this production is sure to be just the beginning of his promising acting career.
Julian Howard - Michael
Julian Howard, a Year 6 student at Corpus Christi College, is currently playing the role of Michael in a production of J.M Barrie’s Peter Pan. Julian has already appeared in various performances in Western Australia and New South Wales. Interestingly, Julian’s character is quite similar to him, as he too comes from a family of six children and is one of the younger siblings. In the play, Julian wears pajamas and clings to a small teddy bear, even in the dream world of Neverland, reflecting his sensitive nature. He also admires his older sister Wendy, but sometimes gets into arguments with his older brother John.
Julian describes the show as “efficient,” highlighting how everything can come together even when the puzzle pieces are all mixed up. He also appreciates the reliability and organization of the Caroline Payne Theatre and James Nestor Centre in any source of need. The excitement and ease with which the production comes together make him feel like he can “leap and shake” with enthusiasm.
When asked if he would recommend acting to others, Julian replied in the affirmative. He pointed out the multiple benefits it offers, even if one doesn’t land a lead role.
Julian finds the idea of J.M Barrie’s Peter Pan thrilling and exciting, especially as it has been reimagined into a modern-day Australian lifestyle. Overall, Julian’s experience in the production has been a positive one, demonstrating the joy and excitement that can be found in the world of acting.
