Luisa Rossi
College Psychologist, Salvado House

Passionate about the science of positive psychology and its implementation in schools to better aid students, Luisa Rossi has been College Psychologist here at Corpus since 2015. A Corpus Christi College alumnus herself, having graduated in 1992, she now works to ensure students learn skills to manage their own wellbeing in their lives. She also finds joy in sharing knowledge with parents and teachers to better support students throughout their unique journeys through Corpus. One of her highlights, she tells us, is attending the Mulan Immersion trip in 2016 to a remote Aboriginal community, together with students and staff.

What does a day at Corpus look like for you?

My day is usually a mix of appointments with students, parents and teachers. I see students for counselling for a wide range of issues and sometimes conduct assessments to identify any learning difficulties. I also work with parents and staff to ensure students are well supported while they are at Corpus.

What is your favourite College event and why?

The Talent Quest on Corpus Christi Day! Every year I am blown away by the talent of our students. I love watching them step out of their comfort zone and performing in front of the whole school. Not only do I admire their talent, but also their bravery. I wish I had that courage when I was in high school.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

I love heading to the beach whenever I can. I enjoy surfing, riding my Vespa and socialising with friends - going out for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and nights out dancing. I regularly practice yoga and meditation to keep my own mental health in check. I also love spending time with my kids, listening to music and playing the guitar.
