Year 11 Biology Camp
Our Year 11, Biology students enjoyed successful camp despite some rain. Students engaged in a series of practical activities around population sampling - quadrats, transects, capture-tagging-recapture using Sheffield traps and other techniques.
Corpus Christi College has been joining the Monitoring Marsupials Program for the past 14 years. This year we caught and released a Brush Tail possum with a large joey and a Mardo with 9 tiny joeys in the pouch. Students also investigated the Western Shield baiting program for foxes & cats and identified various plant species endemic to Mundaring as part of the Biodiversity Hotshot in WA.
Lastly, a big 'Thank You' to Mr. Hurn and Ms. Chung for facilitating the camp.
