Mrs Caroline Payne

It is with great sadness that we share with the community the passing of our much-loved Principal and leader Caroline Payne.

Caroline has been part of our Corpus family for 11 years, commencing as College Principal in 2009. She was an outstanding visionary leader and teacher who inspired all she met.

Caroline has championed numerous projects as part of her ongoing commitment to enhancing the educational opportunities for Corpus students. Her inspirational leadership and tenacity has resulted in many significant accomplishments, one example being the completion of the Theatre which was recently named after her.

Our status as an Apple Distinguished School future-proofed our students’ education, setting Corpus apart from many other schools. It was Caroline’s pioneering in this space that paved the way for the successful online learning delivery that we are currently able to offer in these uncertain times.

This news is very sad. At this time, while we are unable to come together physically as a community, we ask that you pray for the repose of Caroline’s soul and ask that God may look over and comfort her loved ones, including her daughters Jennette and Sarah, her brothers and extended family. We also pray for all of us who are so deeply affected by her death. We will support each other through this difficult time.

At Caroline’s family’s request, we ask that for those who wish to pay their respects to Caroline refrain from sending flowers and instead consider donating to the Breast Cancer Research Centre WA : https://bcrc-wa.com.au/ways-to-help/donations/
