AFL Football - Corpus V Emmanuel
Year 8/9 Boys Eagles Cup kicked off on Monday 1 May at home against Emmanuel Catholic College.
The first half was a very one-sided affair as Emmanuel’s athleticism and impressive team work dominated proceedings. Following a plea from Corpus coaches and team leaders at half time, to refocus on the fundamentals of 'team defence' and 'supporting team mates with voice' and 'numbers at the contest', Corpus played a far more competitive second half, being outscored by only a goal after half time.
The boys are looking forward to making amends when they come up against Emmanuel again in Round 4. The Eagles Cup Premier Division games continue each Monday afternoon and the draw doesn’t get any easier with strong opposition also expected from Willetton SHS and CBC Fremantle in the coming weeks.
