The Senior School College Carnival is on Friday 11 August 2023.
EXPECTATIONS FOR THE CARNIVAL
Attendance is compulsory.
All events achieve points for your House – so be sure that every event is filled.
UNIFORM
College sports uniform with House shirt and running shoes (not vans or similar street/skate shoes)
College Cap
Pre-Carnival Events – Competitors who are nominated for these events are permitted to wear their tracksuit over House Uniform on the day of their Pre-Carnival Event
BEHAVIOUR
Support your House and cheer on your athletes on the day!
The focus for the day is promoting house spirit. No Phones, iPads to be used in the house bays. The College is not responsible for the loss of any valuable items.
Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated at the carnival.
There will be no events in the gymnasium during main carnival and therefore all students will remain on the ovals.
Students must stick to designated paths and spectator areas (please see updated carnival map) Outside House Bays, there are designated areas for students watching track, long jump and throws events on top field.
FOOD & DRINK
Have a sensible breakfast on carnival day.
Bring your own large water bottle clearly marked with name (No glass bottles please)
The cafeteria will be closed to all students from 8.30am – 3.15pm. Students can order their lunch on Flexischools or come in before school and do a bag order. Lunches will be delivered to the Sadler Centre for pick up at 12.30pm
MEDICAL
Please ensure medical information and emergency details are up to date.
If medication is required to be taken during the day (including asthma inhaler), please advise your Homeroom teacher and have these handy in your sports bag in house bay area.
ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION
Attendance at the carnival is compulsory and all students are expected to participate in either the major or minor carnival. Any non-attendance or non-participation requires a letter to the House Coordinator prior to the event. Non participants are expected to assist with the running of the carnival on the day. Participation of Inter-house events is part of the graduation expectations of Senior School students and absences are not tolerated
