About the Role 

With the success of the Arts at Corpus Christi College we are expanding our Arts leadership structure and seeking applications for the newly created Head of Visual Arts (7-12) position. We have a view to commence in Term 4, 2024 or Term 1, 2025. Applications are sought from professional educators who possess a passion for Visual Art, team leadership and immersive and engaging teaching programs.

As an integral member of the Corpus Christi College Middle Leadership Team, the Head of Visual Arts (7-12) drives the creative direction of Visual Arts and will continue the highly successful, vibrant and dynamic Visual Arts culture within the College.

This role is responsible for nurturing, innovating, and creating relevant and impactful learning opportunities for students. This extends to opportunities beyond the classroom for students to showcase their skills in exhibitions and community art projects. 

The Head of Visual Arts (7-12) leads and mentors a team of dedicated Visual Arts teachers, fostering a collaborative and cohesive culture that celebrates professionalism and excellence. 

About You

Our ideal candidate will be appropriately qualified, hold current TRBWA registration and WWC clearance in addition to;

  • a personal commitment to the College Values, Vision and Mission underpinning the delivery of a Catholic based education to students in the College community. 

  • a demonstrated ability in teaching Visual Arts programs.

  • a proven record of leadership in an educational setting.

  • ability to provide ignition points where a positive culture in Visual Arts can flourish.
